North Florida College Improves Access, Enhances Online Retail, and Reclaims Course Material Revenue with BibliU

Madison, FL — North Florida College (NFC) is transitioning to a new course materials and campus store partner this fall—advancing its 2020–2025 Strategic Plan to lower cost barriers, strengthen student outcomes, and expand access for first-generation, Pell-eligible, and rural learners. Through BibliU’s integrated solution, NFC will deliver affordable course materials on Day 1, removing obstacles that can delay learning and impact completion, while modernizing campus retail to better serve students.

With BibliU Access, required course materials are delivered digitally via D2L Brightspace before the first day of class. Costs are bundled with tuition, allowing students to use financial aid and eliminating the delays and hurdles often associated with traditional purchasing models. The platform is mobile-friendly, ADA-compliant, and gives students the ability to highlight, search, and interact with their materials from any device. Powered by BibliU’s proprietary eReader, it delivers a cohesive and reliable digital learning experience for the entire NFC community without third-party barriers.

Like many institutions, NFC faced challenges with its previous course materials approach—including inconsistent service and delays in receiving earned commissions. BibliU’s solution offers a more transparent, dependable alternative, empowering NFC to reclaim revenue and reinvest in institutional priorities through consistent, on‑time commission payments that ensure predictable revenue flows and support the college’s financial health.

NFC’s dual enrollment learners, many of whom live in rural areas with limited connection to campus resources, will receive the same Day 1 availability of required course content as their traditional college peers—removing cost barriers and supporting higher levels of engagement, course completion, and successful transfer. BibliU helps keep them on track in fast‑paced courses while lowering costs for families and school districts, and supports NFC in scaling its dual enrollment programs sustainably across rural and underserved high school populations.

Alongside low-cost, first-day content, NFC students will have access to an upgraded online campus store offering school supplies, course kits, and North Florida–branded gear—all available for easy ordering anytime, anywhere. The streamlined experience makes it simpler for students to get what they need, while improving service, transparency, and alignment across campus operations.

“North Florida College has an impressive record of supporting its students, especially those who are the first in their families to attend college,” said Dave Sherwood, CEO of BibliU. “Their deep roots in the rural community are reflected in everything from hands-on advising to thoughtful program design. We’re proud to partner with them on a fully online store and BibliU Access program—ensuring students never have to choose between convenience, cost, and quality when it comes to getting their materials.”

“North Florida College focuses on ensuring our students have affordable access to the tools and resources they need to be successful,” stated Dr. Jennifer Page, Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs. “Partnering with BibliU is a strong move forward in simplifying the textbook purchasing process, minimizing obstacles to learning, and offering students an innovative path for achieving their dreams of completing a degree or workforce certificate.”
